Many people seem to feel these days that their diet, no matter how 'good' or 'balanced', is missing something. Food and supplement manufacturers are forever promoting yet another product on the basis that you 'need' it, and in telling you, through persistent advertising that you do, they hope that you'll buy and consume it. But do you really need it?
Consider this: Anything consumed to excess is a toxin.
Anything. It doesn't matter what it is - it could be something obvious like any single food item (let alone a junk food item!), or it could be a supplement. Yes, your supplements, those neat little pots of perfectly measured and dosed tablets could be contributing to your physical stress and potentially cause ill-health.
How?
Your body must eliminate or store all excess substances. Food, consumed to excess, is laid down as fat. Vitamin C, consumed to excess, causes diarrhoea. Fat soluble vitamins, such as Vitamin A, are stored in the body, and have been shown to be dangerous in large quantities.
Also, within HK, we recognise through BioEnergetic Sensitivity Testing (BEST) that your body may not recognise some supplements, and therefore not seem to treat them appropriately. If your body is either storing or eliminating a supplement because it doesn't recognise the substance, then you are wasting your money buying and taking it, as well as potentially causing your body a whole lot of stress! This can even happen with supplements that are 'nature identical', purely because your body encounters nutrients in food in combination with all kinds of other substances, like enzymes, amino acids, fibre etc. In pill form the body can fail to recognise the nutrient without the rest of the 'package' and therefore you don't get the benefit.
Superfoods can also cause these problems from time to time. In an ideal world, superfoods, like Chlorella or Goji berries, would be a better way to get vital nutrients because they are totally natural and virtually unprocessed (and have all those lovely enzymes, amino acids etc in them). They are like little power-houses of nutrients. However, in my experience these are often not recognised by the body, and need BioEnergetic balancing. Once balanced though, you can get the benefit of these powerful foods!
So how do you know if this is happening with your supplement regimen?
Through muscle testing we can quickly gauge which of your supplements are BioEnergetically recognised, and balance those that are not. We can also tell you whether any of your supplements might be better reduced or discontinued. Often a session spent doing this can save you a lot of money. These single sessions can sometimes pay for themselves overnight!
Case histories:
Client JL was taking 9 supplements and was showing weak BEST response to 4 of them. After balancing these, her body went on to indicate that she needed a lower dose brand of one supplement, to drop another two altogether, and to lower the rest of them by 25% across the board.
Client JB. I dowsed for this client once every two months and mostly found that any new supplements added to his regimen usually resulted in a lowering of others. He had cancer, and was given a prognosis of just 6-9 months in November of 2007. He was taking a range of supplements, but all at a lower rate than recommended by their manufacturers.
